American Scale has earned the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accreditation

We received our accreditation in 2000, and as a result of an ongoing series of outside audits, inter-laboratory comparisons and technician competency testing, we have been granted a continuation of that accreditation.

SO/IEC 17025:2017 is an internationally recognized quality assurance program that addresses every element of laboratory management. It is now one of the family of Management Systems standards that include ISO 9000 (Quality).

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accreditation

American Scale Corporation has obtained full ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accreditation to assure our customers of our technical validity and competence.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a worldwide federation comprised of representatives from national standards bodies in approximately 140 countries round the world. ISO’s mission is to promote international standards in quality practices and global exchange.

Today, ISO has two quality standards that can be applied to quality assurance in analytical data: ISO 9001 and ISO 17025:2017. ISO 17025:2017 is specifically focused on testing and calibration laboratories. The essence of such accreditation is to ensure validity of test data through technical competence and, in turn, demonstrate that the laboratory is adhering to an internationally recognized set of standards. To be ISO accredited, a facility must complete an independent assessment of its processes and performances.

American Scale Corporation can now offer tests/calibrations that are ISO 17025:2017 accredited within our scope. If you are a customer, or a potential customer requiring this optional service, please contact us for further details.
